Moto Hello from Texas

Thought I would take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Rob Mitchell and I'm from Round Rock (North Austin), Texas. I came across the site while setting on Zoints local for my forums. Have to say ATM is a great looking site.

I've have been riding for a little over a year but not much since April. I cased a jump out at the Austin Del-Valle MX track and the result was a torn ACL. Dr Sanders fixed me up and I'm hoping to get out this weekend for some riding (wheels can't leave the ground )

Currently on a '04 CRF250R #119.

Welcome to ATM! From what I've heard and read, Doc Sanders is the man for fixing knees!

Let us know if you ever head on over to Houston for some riding.

Here is the bike right now. It is getting some much needed love.

Picture from my last time out:

Walking shortly after surgery:

As soon as I'm in full riding mode I want to hit up some of the tracks in the Houston area mainly 3P. That is the track I hear the most good things about.

ACK! Nekkid bike!

3P's is awesome, that's usually where we ride. If you've got the time and the weather is cooperating, Splendora is a great track as well.

Texan! Sorry to hear about the knee but at least you went to a great Ortho! You'll be up to speed before you know it, unlike me and my broken ankle....

Yeah the pic is from Del Valle. If you haven't been it's a fun place to ride. Probably my favorite place around Austin to ride.

The bald head is my way of fighting a receding hairline. Plus I thought I would get a jump on starting a metal band. Now I just need some musical talent and I'm good to go.

I hear you guys got 18 inches of rain today down around Austin? Were you close to the flooding?

Yeah tons of rain and it doesn't look like it is going to let up for my 5 day weekend. I think South Austin has seen some flooding but nothing too bad.

Has the Houston area been pretty dry? Might need to take a drive just to get some riding in.

Char will chime in about the Houston area. I know here in North Texas it has rained every day for about a month. Glad you are safe where you are.

Well, it was dry today, does that count? Actually, it hasn't been too bad so far this week. As it is right now, things are shaping up for a nice riding weekend, I just hope it stays that way.

Rob, have you ever been to Cycle Ranch in Floresville? That track is WELL worth the drive and really should be on your list of places to ride..

Yeah it's on top of my places to ride. I heard from someone the cycle ranch property is for sale. Hoping nothing changes with the track until I get a chance to ride it at 100%
