| I've been on this forum for a while and never really noticed the Member Introduction section. Everyone on the forum has been helpful. The members and even Mods have helped me out quite a bit. I learn a ton just by reading over some of the situations/problems/answers that are posted. To give some background for introduction: I started riding in Montana when I was about 13. I rode an old Honda Big Red 3 Wheeler (w/no brakes!) - That is what I started on, then moved to the Honda XR 100 and 200. After I moved back to GA, I never touched another bike until now. Here's what I've had in the past few months (been through quite a bit - managed to keep the same about invested due to trading and selling): 1. 1999 Rec Industries MAX IV ATV (6 wheel drive) - Sold for 1K more than bought. 2. 1998 KX 250 - Traded for 2003 TTR 125 and 2007 TTR 125 3. 1984 Honda 200x (3 Wheeler) 4. Sold both TTR's and traded the 3 wheeler away (for a generator and couple guns). 5. 1986 Honda XR 250 - currently the only bike I have. (engine re-built - and lots of new parts all the way around). Its now pretty much a 1996 model - considering all the new parts which are mid-1990's parts. (to include front/rear forks. engine rebuild. etc...very clean and strong running bike). I have a lot to learn but had some great learning experiences so far, working on the bikes/atv's over the past few months - Thanks to everyone for helping - Great people and nice forum! |

| More rain in Atlanta than Augusta, we got lucky... lots of rain, but none of it stayed for too long. I have some family in Atlanta, none were effected by the rain. But it was bad enough so they couldn't make it to work; full size trucks F-150/250's were being swept off the roads in the low points. All is well now, the vast majority of the heavy hit areas have calmed down. |
