I'm another new guy from Texas (Crosby). I have been reading this site for a few weeks and really enjoy it. There seems to be a lot of really good and knowledegable people here.
I'm getting back into riding after a 13 year "break", so I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of questions.

Yes, I am the guy that Vintage Dave sold his cr250 to. I'm in the process of making it street legal so I can connect trails, save loading and unloading (no highway riding or anything). I live in Newport, if anyone is familiar with that area, so I'm near tons of trails.
The bike is set up very well. It runs great. Very 4 stroke like on the bottom end, doesn't feel weak at all and power is very controlable, not like a light switch like they can sometimes be. Will make a GREAT trail bike, which is what it will be now. I'm really enjoying it so far. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another bike from him, he's good people.

I'm definitely not ready for Highlands yet, but I'm going to check out the ATV park that is right next to it this weekend. Hopefully I can find enough dry or just "muddy" trails to do some pratice riding.
Once I'm more up to speed, it would be cool to have some people to ride with around the Houston area.
