Default Stryke - NEW BIKE :D

Hey guys i just got my new bike.

Its an 06' 450exc with 43 hours.

Perfect condition, well almost. The bike is very nice.

I already tried out the throttle up and down the street and in 2nd gear going 6 kmh i blipped the throttle about a quarter and i wasnt even leaning back, IT LIFTED about 2 feet. INsane!!!

Love this bike, just gotta learn how to use ita Power. Im a light guy 165 so, i think itll haul me pretty good.

Ill post pics as soon as i take some more photos.

LOVE THE NEW RIDE. im sleeping in the garage.

SOmeone left the camera on so the battery is dead. I was just about to take pics, but dangit the camera was left on. Tommorow~! Hey guys im wondering if it was ever even driven cuz the plastic is perfect and tread is like all there

Would u like a picture of me on it? So u can finally see who this stryke is? LOL Ill give u some action shots tom to down the road, if it stops raining and dries up (dont wanna dirty it , its as clean as it will ever be.)

Ok now as for bark busters, id like to buy some but i hear that they break wrists...

If i lower them on the bars, so its harder to get your hands in them, will i still break wrists going over the bars? Or does anyone know of any open sided bark busters ( ie: the sides arent completely sealed [like the open plastic gaurds] but are metal of some sort) ???

I only ask because i heard the clutch is very expensive on the ktm if it breaks, so i dont want to wreck it on crashes.)

Stryke, after all the what should I get blah blah, YOU FINALLY DID IT. CONGRATS!
As far as bark busters breaking wrists, thats a myth make up by someone who doesn't have bark busters. You won't even notice them when you are riding except when trees and branches hit them and not your fingers. They are a must for where you are riding.
There's an AOTMX practice at Devils Lake track (Onoway) this sunday, it would be a good time to test the pumpkin.

Sweet ill bring it up with the folks, this bike tho man does it got power, im afraid im gonna end up looping many times.

Very excited though... i still cant sleep. I spents 2 hours spit shining too. LOL no life. i know.

Dont u think that i should learn the bike before i race it. The power is enough of a challenge to get used to imo. Outwest campground is booked up for the may long. I may be going out there, or perhaps even Bruderhiem some time before then.

Good to know about the barkbusters. Im heading back to ktm tom. because the guy ows me my manual, new front tire, and kick lift stand that came with the deal. Plus i still need the front magnet for the odometer.

Sounds like you're scared of the power? Funny, it was you in the 350cc thread yipping about how you just have to learn how to handle the power.
Sundays ride is just an organized practice, no heavy racing, it's just what you need to learn that thing. Get an hr meter while you're at the shop too, or your Napa dealer has them.

Na man im not afraid of it, i just need to learn to use it. And i will use it. Gimme a a month or so practice and ill have a good feel i believe.

And yes why shrink to 350cc 450 and 250s are meant to be fast dont u agree silver

I would only go if it wasnt organized, well in a sense it is. But if u could go and ride the track and not wait for them to start u all off. And come of the track when u want. That way noone can catch my mistakes.

Also i got the exc remember, dont think jumping is a smart idea... Im probly gonna try and get into hare scrambles, enduros, and poker runs on the exc.

Sounds like you're coming up with excuses? 11:00 - 1:00 open practice, organized practice 1:00 - 4:00. Devil' Lake is a very tame natural terrain track with wide sweeping corners, the exc will luuuuuv it.

Yes they are, I am not saying replace the 450, they can keep making them for non displacement events like our aotmx. But I can bet you that 95% of amateur 450 riders would be turning faster lap times on a 350.

Not to argue but then if thats true they would be turning em faster on 250 2s and then sales would go down on 450s and 250s would get more attention.
