EDIT: Just tried needle in 5th position and didnt do anything. EDIT: moved the clip up 1,didnt work, then down on from the previous position and got a little better. Some one has got to know how to fix these problems!! Last edited by ktm_cody_199; 08-09-2008 at 05:32 PM. |

I'd go down on that main jet. Maybe two sizes down. Keep an eye on your plug color so you don't lean it out.

How would I solve that,I have never jetted a carb in my life and I think I am starting to understand it from some research on google.I put the clip in the verry last position on the needle and bog is almost gone? What does that mean?Tommorow I am going to put the stock needle in and play with that some.I also adjusted the acp timing screw and that helped some as well, My fuel screw is 2 1/5 turns out from stop and I have #60 leak jet if that helps.Maybe a diff Main or Pilot?I am ganna research it some more.Starting problem is gone and has lots of midrange and top end,What jet controls the low end snap?

the more you go down the clip on the needle, the more it leans it out. If your bike is starting fine and idles fine, I would not mess with the pilot. The main jet runs about 1/4 throttle and on up. So if the bike is running fine with 1/4 or less, your pilot is ok.

If you got the 175, try it.

Ok, your running a 185 now. Go one or two sizes down from that. It's best to go one size down at a time. Too big of a jump and you could lean the bike out and blow your engine. Just keep a close eye and that plug color.

No problem bro. Some jetting gurus may step in here later and give better advice. Best way to tell plug color is a WOT chop.
