Thanks H! My bud was going to the track with me since he got his 200..one ride at the Red River trails, and he is NOW hooked on woods riding! I got a heckuva time getting these guys to go to the jumps with me

If I ever get outta debt, I just might buy a KTM 300 for the woods.

The 525 Sx is just to much to handle in the woods, the suspension is way to stiff & the motor is too snappy

Great Bike! I've not ridden any but the '03 KTM SX and I loved it. Great motor, and great everything else as you may already know.

Fair warning, be careful when you grab a handfull of front brake, as those buggers work "REALLY" well.

Great bike! My friend got a 2006 525 EXC last year and man, that bike is awesome! I'd like to get me one of the new 300's with the electric start. How lazy would that make me?? Put an auto clutch on it and man, that would be my dream bike!

Ktm must be making a killing with theyre quads the 200 and 144 and theyre 4 stroke line of mxers trail bikes and super motardsim glad tey are stil keeping te 2 stroke alive and have heard nothing but good of the 144 and 200

We took it to the Blue groove track sunday..just to test it out.
First impression- more narrow than I expected. The tank has a crease in it that tends to guide my knee into the shroud, and abruptly STOP! It wasn't as hard to start as I thought it would be..but countless hrs kicking my XT600 has my right leg a bit bigger than my left. Chad, on the other hand, has to take off his helmet and stand on it to get into kick position! It was pretty funny..(he's a short stack like macho)
He's already thinking $600 is a fair price for the button mod
Bike has good power, no big HIT that I was expecting..very linear almost electric pull. The hard pack was slick city, but it didn't seem to swap nearly as much as my pinger. I found myself going for a 5th gear a couple of times, I don't think I would have stayed there very long, but it would be nice to have another gear for the longer straights. Felt very stable at high speed, and I guess that's what has me wanting faster.
Susp never bottomed harshly, even when flatlanding a few times. I thought the no-link would feel super odd, but it didn't really bother me at all.
Good thing I gave it back when I did though, because one of the radiator hoses was slid onto the fixed 90 degree inlet too far. It started juicing fluid and I hadn't noticed it. Now I know why you SMART riders buy a bike, and the first thing you do is take it apart!
