Default New to KTM,should I buy it?

Hey guys, I am buying a 2003 450sx this weekend and the valves need to be replaced per the seller, My question is should buy it due to all the bad responses I have received about the valves on this year of 450? Some feedback would be great.
Thanks

You're really the only one who can make the decision to buy or not. I'll simply as this...Would you buy a car if you knew it had problems?

And tell the guy's there what the resound the owner give you fro the valve replacement.

If you do the tear down yourself, you can look up DJH on KTM Talk & have him fix the head for you. I think it runs about $300/$350

If the price is fair to reflect the motor work needed and a cushion fund for the other little stuff that will pop up (if the owner wouldn't fix the valves, what else has he neglected?) then it might be a decent buy. If there is a similar bike in good condition for $1k or so more, I'd buy the one that doesn't need any work and save myself the hassle and headache.
