Default Pay It Forward Rules

All ATM Forum Participation Guidlines apply. Here are some forum specific rules to go with the general rules.
I'll just quickly give a run down of the forum specific set of rules that will be stickied by this weekend.

1. No "For Sale" items allowed, no exceptions. There is a regular selling forum here. Please use the "For Sale Forums" if you want money in return.
2. The receiving party offers to pay shipping costs, this is common courtesy. The sender may elect to pay these anyway, its a gift so don't look crossways at kindness.
3. Let the receiving party know when an item is shipped, by PM.
4. Let the sending party know you received the item, ASAP, by PM.
5. Charge only the true shipping costs, please.
6. Items for "Pay it Forward" should be good in working order not your trash. Example; You have a set of youth riding gear that is still in good condition but your youngster out grew it.
7. If there is anything wrong with the item or something missing that is easily replaced please state that in the post.
8. A college T-shirt (or 2) may be required as payment for any transaction a as long as it is agreed on by both parties. This shall be known and the Macho Law:

That is a start for the ground rules, please make this forum a useful and good asset to ATM. I only want to help others out, period.

Respectfully,
Bill Barnard and Dirtbikindad

Talking Re: Pay It Forward Rules

Mark,
Anything the parties agree to is alright as long as the sender isn't asking for a cash price. You can feed you College T-shirt addiction here with everyone's blessings . I am sure the member that got the steering damper for two t-shirts feels they were treated well , I know I would. I'll include a provision that College T-shirts are acceptable payment for any Pay It Forward transactions to make it official.

Anyone object?

Bill

awesome Re: Pay It Forward Rules

,
Okay, here are the rules as of this date. If you have questions or a problem please P.M. Dane or me first before making a public issue that can probably be solved. These rules are for the good of all involved and any abuse can result in a warning, first, and a suspension/banning if problems persist. This forum can disappear in a heartbeat if it is abused or reflects badly on the Site and our members. We will take problems seriously and try our best to make the involved parties satisfied. I will also use the powers of the administrators and moderators to police everyone using this forum, we are being watched so don't screw this up people.

Any for sale post will be removed imediately, no exceptions, and you will be notified of the policy violation by P.M., penalties can result.

If you recieve an item that is not as described or is junk notify the sender for return costs and copy me or Dane in a P.M. We will follow up on complaints. This is serious and will be watched for violators. Penalties will result form lack of response if the transaction is deemed to be in bad faith.

8. A college T-shirt (or 2) may be required as payment for any transaction as long as it is agreed on by both parties. This shall be known as the Macho Law:

9. If you have problems don't start a flame war in the forum(s), send a P.M to the other party and copy one of us. We will follow up with complaints to try and see that a resolution is reached. This can take time, be patient or don't use the forum, remember we work for free and for our love of the sport. We don't believe in public humiliation or degradation so don't cross us with flames. We may delete any post deemed to be in bad taste or in violation of ATM posting rules, no exceptions.

10. Be honest in all descriptions and in the shipping costs. If you feel that shipping cost were high first remember that UPS, USPS and FEDEX all cost real money. Remember that the cost of shipping can be confirmed easily so don't get greedy. This is a problem on ebay, don't make it one here.

11. Insurance for shipping is strictly between the parties. You use your judgement on the value of an item. Remember that the cost of insurance can be confirmed easily so don't get greedy if the receiver wants to buy insurance. This is also a problem on ebay, again, don't make it one here.

This is a start, we don't want to make a lot of cumbersome rules so don't abuse the system.

I (Bill) don't want to be harsh but I am serious about these rules and making this work. Dane and I will go the extra mile for ya'll, please respect our efforts. This site has a reputation for famliy values, integrity and honesty, we want to stay that way. You members make the site worth something and this forum can aide a lot of people. Let's make it work, please.

Bill and Dane
