The rims have been beat back strait around 6 times now and when I tried it this time the bead is just to far bent to get a seal back to the tire. But thank you for the suggestion. Did you see the pic of one of the wheels in the post I made on this thread?

Hate to say it but stock YFZ wheels are 9's. Still got some time for some wheels to popup, but mine are always there to fall back on. I'm looking into the shock question too. One thing that you guys could try is EK measure eye-to-eye on your Banshee shock and YFZAlterego do the same on his YFZ shock. Then see what the difference is and go from there. If the shock is off by 1/4" or less I bet you could run it just fine. I know people are running YFZ front shocks on Raptors.

I'm pretty sure the shocks will work. But I will do some checking. To bad on the wheels. And I will keep you in mind.

OK here is an update on the list:

Camelback
Spark Plugs
Silencer Packing are all covered for sure!

If anybody wants to donate by paypal to the gas fund send it to my paypal account at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Label it Ekholms Mx as I have moneys coming in for the Rescue 3 raffle too and I don't want to get it confused!

Anything is good if you have $5.00 that is good 10.00 even better! I estimate that it will take 350.00 in gas for him to go to and from Reno to So Calif. Kevin stay in touch with me so we know how much you have and how much I get.

Billy,

We have this covered brother!

You have a place to stay in our trailer for the weekend and all food on race weekend is covered. on the road your on your own! Your bike gas is covered so long as it's 4 stroke gas and not race gas. I have an 18 gal fuel station on the trailer thats enough for the three of us to race and ride on.

I have a twelve year old son I'll donate for your crew. He's real obnoxious though. Therefore, no charge to you. I guess his mom would want him back, but if you lose him along the way I'll certainly understand.

William,

The rims/tires I have are off a stock 05 YFZ450 and we know they will fit your hubs.

You said you just needed 10" rims or a rim/tire combo if they're not 10" rims. These are 9" rims but already have tires mounted on them.

My question is, will the ones I have work for you and not effect your gearing? Like I said in my earlier post, these are yours if you can utilize them and the tires are brand new stockers...well, about 99% tread left.

It also looks like the stock YFZ shocks need some modification to either them or the Banshee for them to work. I'm still waiting on some solid answers because I keep getting "I think" answers and "maybe".:

You make the decision.

Billy,

I am working with and through Bill Barnard - the GMB Memorial Fund will be involved to help you race in honor of your father. Don't worry you will get there. Please ride carefully to honor you father to the fullest - its not about winnng, its about honoring your father and riding again. Perhaps you will find that your Dad will ride with you more than you think!

ATMers are the GREATEST!

THANK YOU Duane !!! Yes the wheel tire combo would be Great .As for the gearing issue it really won't matter as I'm not racing to win just finish ! And I'm also looking into the shock deal and if I hear anything I will let you know. Thanks again!

I pray my words don't come out wrong on this. I am fully convinced that my father and your son are working together on this. I will be prowd to ride with them in this race. I will most defenately take it easy, for I really want to finish and get that pin! And if I finish I can promise it will be very emotional for me. I have found myself teared up already because of how this is all going down.

2yrs ago when I first though of trying to do this it was a pipe dream. Then as it got close more things started to happen. First I found out there was a race still the same as the race my father did, then I come in contact with a brother and sister that I have not seen since i was young (20+yrs), Now they are going to come,Then this layoff and I don't think I'm going to make it,and the Garrett family come together and make it happen. It is almost to much for me to handle emotionally. And with that said. I say thank you tou to ALL involved in making this happen!!!

Does anybody have connections at IMS? I am worried about the tank thing. I have not heard talk about a tank. If he can't make it on his stock tank there will be no pits for him to top off at.

Two things can happen here.
One;
If the money is raised DBK is sponsored by IMS. I could call them and see if they would be willing to offer a new tank at the sponsored rider price.

Two;
If there is no tank for the race my club, The Rovers MC will make sure there is gas out on the course at one of the checkpoints for him to top off with. One way or the other it is covered! Lets try to find a tank though so he can make it without stopping.

There's a dez tank on ebay that might be worth looking at.

Is there a possibility of running an auxiliary tank? I'm sure there's something we could come up with, but I'm not familiar with the rules so I don't know if an aux. tank would be allowed.

Billy, what carb jets do you need? What oil type are you looking for? What size are your Pod filters that you need outer-wears for? Hook us up with the details.

If you want to get creative you can use nylons (aka panyhose) over the filters and a cheap alternative.

Thanks everyone for helping my brother out. I can't believe that he almost wasn't able to make it due to financial troubles. I can't say it enough, but thank you all for making this possible.
Billy I wish I could help you out fixing up your bike, but we don't have any parts laying around and no connections for that type of stuff. I work in the bicycle industry so the only thing I could get you is the Camelpak and someone was already kind enough to give you that. If you can think of anything else please let me know.
Thanks again everyone!!!

I am looking into something on the tank give me a couple of days.

Tabetha don't worry your brother will be there and it will be up to him to finish the race. This will be more of an accomplishment as this race will be a National Hare & Hound this year. Tougher course bigger since of pride for finishing a National.

I work for a fuel company and even I can't get free fuel. Otherwise I'd send a tanker up there!
