.....Have a grocery store that is close to the Country Inn & Suites? I'm reluctant to travel with any produce as it will be over ripe by the time we get there....and the gestapo at the Az, NM and Tx state border checks will want it for themselves.

Ernie, Humble and Kingwood are suburbs of Houston and not a little "country" town. Just like Houston, they have the best and worst of anything you want!

Thanks Brent. Although Texas may not check us at the state border I certainly do appreciate the express line the state has at death row!!! I wish Califreakia had the same philosophy.

E,
Last time we were there they had gotten indoor plumbing, it was in the same state legislation that put in the death row express lane. (I do love Blue Collar Comedy)

Yeah, you are definitly not going into a country un-populated town.

Thanks all. I was hoping Humble/Kingwood weren't some backwoods, inbred infested and toothless (no offense Dr. tooth fairy) towns. What I'm really looking forward to is getting out of the freak state and enjoying the trip and ride with Dane. Not to mention that diesel drops at least $.25 a gallon as soon as we cross the state line.

E,
You are confusing Texas with Arkansas my friend. Macho had to wear his false teeth and promise not to marry a sister or cousin while in Texas.

Like you don't think Dane already knows where all the markets, restaurants & fast food places are? The is the best person to travel with. All those years of driving, won't get lost, knows all the truck stops and gas stations with the best places to stop, where the cleanest restrooms are, where the best roadside eateries are and where his favorite market/shopping centers are from Moorpark to Humble & beyond. Your bananas will be OK!

Diesel? Just filled up my tank this morning. I paid $2.37/gal. And still...it cost $75 to fill her up.

However...that's still about $.40 cheaper than a month ago...

Well Char, if you are like most chicks you wait until the low fuel light comes on and still drive for another 2 days before getting filled up.

I put around 30 gallons in..but I think the excursion tank is quite a bit bigger.

And E...the fuel light came on last night, I would have filled up, but I was over by Howard's and fuel is almost $.10/gal more over there. I guess there are advantages to living out in the sticks...

Holy Crap!!!

I'd cry when I had to fill that badboy up.

My sister drives a gasser excursion and I 'bout fainted when I put $100 in the tank and she still wasn't topped off.
