I met a guy name Ernest "Lloyd" Gates at Falcon Jet where I work. I only knew Lloyd for about a year but he loved to ride bikes. He rode only street bikes, but he rode bikes. They are all the same to me. He rode a harley to work every chance he got. At the age of 53 he was still smiling like a young kid everytime he rode. Lloyd got killed by a drunk driver after work going to further his eductaion at Pulaski Tech. Lloyd was killed on September 20,2007. I sold my harley right after this .........because when on the rode its not your skill you have to worry about........its the other guy. Please add Lloyd to the list of Remembering those Who Rode. Lloyd left a wife of 26 years and 3 daughters behind. So say a prayer for them as they spend there first christmas without him.

I was bored and started looking at the boards from top to bottom. Not to sure why, but was lead here. This is the same month (few weeks ago) we lost Gitch. Let's not forget to take a look here and remember all those on the list. There are several... To many... R.I.P fellow riders and racers! We'll see you again and ride together.

Mike, I am so happy you have continued to recognize those who have lost their lives doing what we all LOVE...riding motorcycles. You are truly a champion. Thank You, John "skinny" McKinney |

Indeed he is! It's good to see you online, skinny. I hope I never have to add one of our crew to the list. It's growing all too fast.

My ATM Family, It is with great sadness that I added the name of Foster Turner, 12 years old to the "List" today. He passed away on March 21, 2008 while riding in Alabama. Apparently, he was hit by a big bike when he went down on an 85 cc bike. For the life of me I wonder why track owners continue to allow big bikes and little bikes to ride together. Without knowing the particular details of this tragedy, this type of accident is clearly avoidable. Now, now a family must learn to live with a pain that never leaves and has needlessly changed their lives forever. If anyone know the Turner family - please let them know that I am available to try and help them as they learn to move forward. Foster Turner will not be forgotten, he will be "Remembered as One Who Rode." My heart and my prayers go out to and for the Turner Family..........

Sadly, the bell now tolls for Odin D. Daly. I took the liberty to add his name to the "List" that I wish did not have to exist. He was only 37 years young. May we ALWAYS care enough to "Remember Those Who Rode!" Rest in Eternal Peace - Odin D. Daly

Like a "thief in the night" sadly this list continues to grow. I added the name of yet another today, David Gainer who past on March 1, 2009 riding. I hate the fact that more parents are added to this list, yet so thankful that WE the Offroad Family continue to "Remember Those Who Rode" - May someone always care enough to carry the banner and to honor the memory and "Remember Those Who Rode!" May David Gainer "Rest in Eternal Peace."

Sadly, once again the "List" grows, robbing families of what would have been and forcing them to live with "what is." This is a journey I would wish on NO PARENT. Jeremy Bader - July 15, 2009. "May you forever Rest in Eternal Peace" Hoyt Michael Penland - July 23, 2009. "May you forever Rest in Eternal Peace" "Time does not heal all wounds as is so often wrongly quoted, we simply learn how to live with a pain that never quits, never goes completely away and always leave an emptiness that can never be adequately put into words." I base this statement on 358 weeks and 5 days of personal experience! I will add that without the love and support I have personally received from ATM, TT and those who ride Off-Road Bikes I would not be here today to write these words. For that I remain humbled and very grateful. You folks are truly remarkable! May we always care enough and take time to "Remember Those Who Rode!"
