Here is John Sand's Original Post from another site:

Please Read......urgent

Please read carefully and pass on the others!

Wear YOUR helmet.......ALWAYS. THe following story IS true. THS IS NO JOKE.

I have ALWAY been adaminate about safety gear for me and my kids (boy 13 & girl 10) I make them wear helmet, elbow guards, knee guards, boots, gloves, goggles......ALWAYS.

Saturday we went to a buddys house for a bonfire. I told the kids we would not be gettting out the bikes....too many non riders etc. The buddy did get out his Yam Rino and took kids for rides.....one thing let to another next others were driving it.

Someone flipped the rino on my 10 year old girls head.....NO helmet. We just took her off life support early Sunday morning.....she is GONE! DEAD!!!!! NEVER to be seen or held again. Sorry I am not making any sense but my heart is HEAVY. IF I made here wear the helmet she would NOT have been killed. ANYTIME, any palce wear the helmet. My off riding days are over for a LONG time. She had a HUGE passion for it.

I am SO SO SO VERY sad......I do not know how I will make it. PLEASE Wear your helmit.

P.S. There was NO achcole there at all.....it was whosome family fun!!!!

It simply breaks my heart. I have just added another name to the "List." Her name is Ellen "Elie" Dabney Sand. She was 10 years old and passed away on October 28, 2007. She is the daughter of John and Tammie Sand from Ohio.

Please keep her family in your thoughs and prayers. He Dad sent me this picture.

I can't stop looking at her beautiful face. I think having the picture of her, showing her so full of life & promise, makes it hit even harder.

RIP Matthew Farley.

Died on Sunday while riding on his parent's property. He collided with his dad. Very sad circumstances.

Geoff,
My heart goes out to the Farley family. Please let me know if we can do anything for his family. He looked like a fine young man and I know how his parents feel. I sure hope his dad hangs in there. I can only imagine how he feels the way the accident happened.

Matthew will be riding in the heavenly realm with many good folks. Matthew Farley will be "Remembered."

Sincerely,
Mike Berg

So sad these two beautiful people gone.
To John with the loss of Elie, I feel the ache that is so consuming you. I am so sorry for your great loss, I wish I could help you, its so hard, so hard.
To Matthews family the same pain, same loss and uncertain days ahead. Our thoughts are with you, I hate to see such pain. Two lovely young people, Elie and Matthew... touching many lives.

Always In Memory of Aaron #98, Arlene

Sadly, I added the name of Emery Humphrey today - 11 year old racer, #96. He died on December 13, 2007 from injuries sustained racing.

May he rest in eternal peace with the Almighty.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

You know as we enter this festive and holiday time of year where we have the privilege to spend quality time with our families let us remain thankful for our families, health and the many blessings we have as Americans. Many in this world are not so fortunate.

I would also like to ask that you folks "Remember Those Who Rode" and the respective families who are still trying to put the "pieces of their lives" back together and move out of the valley overshadowed by death. Many of our fellow riders, friends and acquaintances have "heavy hearts" during the holiday season - please keep them in your prayers.

Regardless of how old they are please hug your children and let them know that you love them and be damn thankful that you can.

Sincerely,

Mike Berg
