I unfortunately have to add another young man to this list. His name is Justin Sutterer from Union, MO and he was 17 years old. He lost his life in a motocross accident on Sunday, April 8th, 2007 at Villiage Creek MX Park in Ft Worth. Here is the story from the Ft Worth Star Telegram. god Speed Justin. My prayers go out to your family.

Teen dies in crash at track
By DEANNA BOYD
STAR-TELEGRAM STAFF WRITER

Justin Sutterer, a high school junior, made straight A's and had earned a college scholarship. TARRANT COUNTY -- A Missouri teen here for a motocross competition died Sunday after he was struck by another motorcyclist while trying to get off the track after wrecking his bike.

Justin Sutterer, 17, was pronounced dead at 12:10 p.m. at a Fort Worth hospital.

His death, caused by blunt-force trauma to the head, has been ruled an accident.

Sutterer's stepmother, Amanda Sutterer, said her stepson had come to Texas with his mother and stepfather to compete in a qualifying event at the Village Creek Motocross Park, south of Fort Worth in unincorporated Tarrant County.

Officials with the motocross park could not be reached for comment.

Justin was ranked among the best in his class in Missouri, according to the Missouri State Motocross Championship Series Web site.

"He's been doing motocross since he could get on a motorcycle, since he was a toddler," Amanda Sutterer said. "He goes all over. He was trying to get in the pro circuit."

Justin, a high school junior in his hometown of Union, Mo., made straight A's and had already received a college scholarship offer, Amanda Sutterer said.

"He was going to be an engineer. He was a very smart kid," she said.

Justin's father, Jeffrey Sutterer, is in the military and currently serving a second tour in Iraq.

Amanda Sutterer said she wanted someone to be with her husband when he learned of his son's death, so she sought the assistance of the Red Cross rather than calling him to deliver the news.

She said the Red Cross did not reach him in time.

"Jeff got onto his computer this morning. He, a lot of times, instant-messages Justin," Amanda Sutterer said. "A lot of Justin's friends are on his mailbox and some of his friends were talking [about Justin's death].

"Unfortunately, instead of the Red Cross telling him, he found out about it over the Internet. That was a horrible way for him to find out."

Amanda Sutterer said her husband was trying to catch a flight back to Missouri, where he will face the task of burying the oldest of his two sons.

"It's just awful. I'm still in shock," Amanda Sutterer said. "I've been with Justin since he was very young. He's just like one of my own."

No Keith, this is fine, he was not posted in this section and I was going to move it here. Thanks for prompting me. My prayers and thoughts are with Justin's mother and father. Losing a soon while serving in Iraq then finding out through internet forum posts is too much. God Speed and God bless his family.

Mr. Berg,

My son & I cried when we first read about your son accident on the forum.
We prayed for you & your family but thought it would never happen to us, and appx. year after that Austin died while praciting for the Spring Nationals at Austin Millers private track in Dripping Springs.
I would be honered if you would put him on your list Austin Ekberg 1/29/91-3/4/04 #129

Sincerely,

Leonard Ekberg

Mr. Ekberg,
Your son, Austin, is now on the list of the fallen riders we honor. If ATM can ever do anything to help you please let us know. Consider this a standing invitation to the GMB/Remembering Those Who Rode event each October. Our deepest condolences on your loss of your son in 2004.

Respectfully,
Bill

Mr. Ekberg,

First let me say that I added Austin's name to "The List" and that his name will be read many times here on ATM and each year at the annual "Garrett Berg - Remembering Those Who Rode Memorial Ride." I do know exactly how you feel and I wish that Austin's name was not on the list.

If there is ever anything that I can do for your and/or your family please feel free to contact me. I believe that Houston is fairly close to Dripping Springs - so perhaps we should make it a point to meet. One thing is for sure and that is Austin Ekberg will never be forgotten.

Sincerely,

Mike Berg

I am very sad to ask that fellow desert racer #M101 John Hutcherson's name be added to the list.

John was 50 or 51 and is a member of the Viewfinders club and came out Friday night this past weekend to race the Badgers Dual Euro. He slept in his truck in the Viewfinder camp and apparently had a heart attack and passed in his sleep. He was found Saturday morning by fellow club members trying to wake him up to go sign up for his race. I am sure it was a bad day in the Viewfinder camp. I did see some Viewies racing this weekend so I am glad they went on in his honor, John would have wanted that way. John leaves behind a wife and two teenage daughters.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with more to read on this sad event.

Roost on John and say hi to Garrett for me!

Thank You

Dane

Sadly this list continues to grow - way to fast, I just added two more names. I encourage you all to read these names slowly and remember the families who hurt. Pray for them if you are inclinded to do so.

Be thankful that you are only reading this "List" and not part of the "List." Please use good judgement and when you ride, Ride Safely - we do not need to add anymore names.

Most of All - THANK YOU for "Remembering Those Who Rode!"
