Default Remembering Those Who Rode -7 Years

Seven years ago and only a second in my mind and heart. Remembering has it's warm side along with the pain that comes with it. Aaron is still a very big part of our days. During the racing season, March thru November we surround ourselves with some of the most wonderful people that have been our greatest support. "Our MX Families". Someone new meets Aaron nearly everyday. Riders at the track sport their #98 stickers and then check in on Aaron's site after a race for pictures of the past weekends events. He is Remembered...... Thank you Garretts for your part in remembering so many loved ones who we all share that need to remember. You have touched many lives with your kindness. I know that Garrett is very proud of you.

Aaron's injuries where received this day 7 years ago, he left us nearly 5 hours later. I didn't get to say good bye. I miss him so.

Wow. Didn't get to say good-bye.
The slide show was moving. May Aaron rest in peace.

Mr. Lantzer,

First let me say that your comment, "Seven years ago and only a second in my mind and heart." is so true. I can completely relate to how you feel. For me, it has been over 5 years and it feels like yesterday. The memories are extremely vivid. I am not sure that I fully understand this, or if it is even normal. As you may well know there are times when the pain is beyond description. Having said this, I am also thankful for the fact that my memories before that "Final Day" are very vivid too.

I believe we have corresponded before and I would truly like to meet you in person some day, if our paths have not already crossed. "Remembering Those Who Rode" is a good and positive thing for many who have lost someone special, and for those who realize just how special the people in their lives really are. Our success in life is, in my opinion determined by what our childrens, loved ones and friends say about us when we are not around them. Success is not determined by a W-2 form.

Thank you for posting the link to Aaron's photo tribute. I smiled and cried while I watched it over and over. Hang in there and KNOW that YOU are not alone. There are many of us who stand beside you as we move forward after the death of one of our children. Our lives are forever changed and we must go on and "Remember Those Who Rode" - and honor the lives of our fallen children, dads, moms and brothers and sisters.

Sincerely,
Mike Berg
