Default R.I.P. Bill Bantau

Yesterday at Splendora Motocross Park, the Houston Motocross Community and EVO Family lost one of our own during the opening round of the 2010 racing season opener.

A hard crash took the life of Billy Bantau.

Please keep Billy and his Family in your thoughts and prayers.

If anyone has any addditional information concerning benefits or fund raisers for the Bantau Family, please post that information here.

God Bless you Billy, may your soul fly with us every day.

SabMotocross,

I had heard about this accident late yesterday afternoon. I am very sorry for the loss of another good person. Please keep me posted on this situation and let me know how I may assist the Bantau family in this time of tragedy. Additionally, please keep me informed of any benefits that will be coming to assist the family.

In sympathy,
Mike Berg

Mr. Berg,

Thank you so much for your sympathy and concerns. I happened to be in the vicinity immediately after the mishap, and I am deeply moved at this point. Either myself or Howard Lobell will inform you and everyone here as soon as we are notified of pending fundraisers, services and/or memorials.

I believe Mr. Rick Humphreys will be organizing a benevolent program for the Bantau Family.

You can also check out the Houston Motocross forum for any and all updates concerning this matter.

Thanks again,

Robert

Dang. Bad deal.

May he rest in peace and may the family receive comfort from the MX community.

Default RIP Bill Bantau

I am a long lost Friend of Billy Bantau who was originally from CA.

I grew up with him and his family, went to school with him, rode motorcyscles with him and his dad, and he was best man in my wedding, however I lost contact with him when he moved from Mississippi to Texas.

If anyone has any contact information for his family, or any funeral information, I would love to have it as soon as posssible so I could attend the proceedings.

It is a sad day for my family and I, and appreciate any help on finding this information.

Thanks,
Rob Durkin

Robert,

I appreciate you keeping me in the loop as it was Howard who called me yesterday afternoon. If I may be of assistance to the family - please let me know. I would appreciate you posting the Funeral/Service arrangement for Billy.

I will coordinate with and through Howard Lobel. He has long been a champion to the MX Racing community and is a long time friend to me.

I have already added Billy's name to "The List" that "Remembers Those Who Rode."

Sincerely,
Mike Berg
