Default Please Remember Jim Finnerty

This hit the D-37 boards this morning from the DMC National Race Referee.

It is with a great deal of sadness, that I report that we lost a fellow racer last night. Mr Jimmy Finnerty, an Expert Open racer, P690 did not survive surgury for a crushed lung and torn aorta. Jimmy had a high speed crash some where around check one of the Desert MC National, and was hit by his bike. He was able to get up and ride back to camp, where his family took him to R-3. Jimmy was transported by medivac to the hospital. He passed during the operation. Jimmy had taken the last year off from racing, and the DMC National was his return race. Previously, he had raced the National Hare and Hound Series for six years.
He leaves behind a wife and parents. All of DMC is very distraught over this unfortunate turn of events. Our heart felt condolences to the Finnerty family, we all feel the loss. May Godspeed Jimmy

It could be any one of us on any given weekend. May Jim's family feel God's grace while grieving.

Hey Dane,
I am sorry about the loss of your friend. He was obviously quite a man. I have taken the liberty to put his name on the "List." Let me know if I may be of assistance to his family.

Hang in there.

It was in the local paper up here today. Not as detailed as the D-37 info. Just 30 years old...sad. Prayers out to his family and loved ones.
