WOW!!

You folks are awesome! I am continually amazed and humbled by the sincerity & generosity of this group...

On behalf of injured riders and their families everywhere - Thank you!

Please let me know if there is anything that you may need to help with your collection activities. Keep in mind RiderDown is a tax-exempt charity approved as a 501c3 with the IRS. So, consult with your tax advisor and you might be able to take a tax deduction for all of those pennies!

Ride ON

tatonka,

If we get checks/money orders who should we make them out to? I'm assuming RiderDown.org, but is their an official name (different then stated) that would be better for this? OR is RiderDown.org the official registered name (at the bank too).

Ok, so now that I've spend too much time typing that above paragraph, let me make this easier on myself.

Tatonka, who should the checks be written to?

Woody - but pennies are so much more fun!

Checks can be made payable to any of the following;

RiderDown

RiderDown.org

RiderDown Foundation

Our bank has been trained to accept any or all of them! Also, we have a PayPal link set up on the site if that is easier. Again - thank you all for your support.

Very nice!

JJ and I were talking about this very topic this morning and we have decided to put all of our change (except quarters because he needs those for school lunches) in a jar and hand that in to riderdown.org at the end of the year. I think this is one of the first times lately that my 13 year old and I are seeing eye to eye.

Can you imagine how much that would bring in everyone. Let's see who else is in.

Thank you.

Char, if you need, my bank has a large coin counting machine. Remember all those coins in my vehicle back in March? That wound up being over $1,300!! I would have hated to have rolled all of that.

Anyway, let me know if you need to have them counted like that. I will have to transfer it to my account but then can write a check for the total. I can drive down to ride and take the coins back with me which will give me an excuse to ride with you guys.

Great idea Macho... with the exception of wanting them sorted by date!

Wow...that little soda machine robbing streak you had going on really paid off, didn't it? Man that was a lot of change!!!

I'll keep that in mind Keeto. If it works out better that way, maybe we should drive it up to you...then we could have an excuse to ride Muenster?

Could be enough change to warrant a trip to Houston as well as a trip to Muenster/Nocona.

Now, about that change machine comment...

I just can’t tell you how fortunate we all feel at the RiderDown Foundation for getting to know such a great group of people. Your energy and your heart felt warmth towards our cause and other causes which help families in the riding community is something that should make you all very proud.

This Penny Drive sounds like a great idea and seems to have so much support. Thank you all and I am looking forward to spending as much time as possible getting to know you all better on and off the track.

Good luck and ride safe,

David

Billy...you and I are on the same page.

Tatonka is working on getting some links together so that we can print off a page that describes RiderDown. As soon as I get that info I'll post it, or maybe he'll post it here. Either way, hopefully it'll be soon.
