Each year at the Memorial Race there is a lap of honor after the rider's meeting. It's a time for riders to go out and honor their fallen loved ones. Garrett's bike is always ridden on the first lap and then all others who have lost a loved one in this sport head out for the second lap behind Garrett's bike. Last year a young cancer survivor named Cody was our Grand Marshall so he rode the first lap with Shannon. This lap is a time for reflection and reminiscing about those who have passed on. It is an emotional time and I don't really know if you can grasp the depth of it without being there, but here is a vid from last year. It was simply awe-inspiring to see Shannon out there on her brother's bike.
