 I'll be at the race this year Well, I can finally make it. For those of you who dont know me, I was one of Garrett's close friends, and was with him on September 22. I joined the United States Marine Corps four years ago, and have not been able to make it to a race since. I will finally be home for the race this year! I am looking forward to seeing those of you I know, and am also excited to meet all those I dont already know. Just wanted to say hi adn let ya'll know to be on the lookout for me, Ill be in the back, I'm not that fast anymore these days. Take care. Matt Sandt               |

| Re: I'll be at the race this year Matt rides #223 [YZ426F}and will most likely burn a few laps on Garrett's bike. I am extremely proud of the man that Matt has become. He has was promoted to Sergeant E-5 in less than 3 years and has served his country very well. He spent one combat tour in Iraq and thank G_d he returned safely. I have known Matt for about 10 years and had the privilege to watch him grow and mature in many ways. As he sad, he was with me the day Garrett died and he took me home from the hospital. I am DAMN Proud of you Matt! |
