I have brought something up similar before but I likes Satch's spin on this. We find some land somewhere in central Texas, several hundred acres, and it becomes the GMB track/compound. It would be non profit, all proceeds go to support the GMB fund and any other funds Mike chooses to support.

The central Texas location would be for convenience to al parties only.

Just an idea, fun to think about things like this.

My family has discussed doing something like this for handicapped kids who would like to hunt, the big problem is you really need to live there full time and since we all live and work in Houston, it makes it really hard to put something together like this.

You nailed it right on the head my friend, the GMB is about Garrett and honoring a young man who helped countless others. Garrett was the most giving person I ever had the pleaseure of speaking to and becoming friends with. As a result of that friendship I now have a new family in the Bergs and a bond that goes beyond anything that can be spoken.

John you know what this bond is and how it came to be, you are my Young Friend, a Gift as well, and I thank you for bringing the truth about GMB back. You are a honored member of the Band Of Brothers My young Friend.

See you in October

Reading all these posts touches me in the heart. My eyes swell and the tears roll as I reminisce the past GMB Races. I remain humbled and amazed that the memory of my son continues to touch so many. Many "bonds of the heart" form during these weekends. It is really hard to explain what happens, but it happens - leaving an impact that is not to be forgotten by those whom experience it.

I imagine it will continue as long as there are those whom want it to continue...... there are times when I swear that Garrett still rides there - those times are indescribable for a Dad.

There will be around ..at least.........27 more. I hope this helps. This is fiqured by adding the total number of bikes Big M has plus the total number of people who likes him divided by the over all number of states that produce riders. But it just depends on Big M ,Vintage Dave and Motodad. But no matter I will still come down each October

Macho, you just gave me another headache with those math problems of yours!

I agree, I will be coming down as long as people want to get together.

Um, we have to keep doing this for a while. I'm addicted to Splendy and the whole ATM group...I can't give it up.

John and Madcow I can appreciate your views on this but I have to say every time I get on my bike to ride I talk to Garrett, he is always with me so I dont feel the "Truth" was ever lost.

Here is some food for thought, what if Garrett decided to just hang with his buds and not spread his wings on the www? What if he chose not to reach out to others across the world? What if he chose not to share his knowledge and experience with the rest of the MX community?

I for one think that is the truth, that is why we are here, he was a uniter (is that a word?), he brought people together, it cant help itself but get bigger! Each of us get something different from Garrett. For me its two fold, he gives me strength and confidence when I ride and he keeps all of this family together! Garrett u da MAN!
