Hey everyone, we have some exciting news for you. As many of you well know, The Garrett Michael Berg "Remembering those who Rode" Memorial Foundation, along with ATM and its incredibly generous members, have been instrumental in making alot of good things happen for many people. If you dont know this as of yet, no worries, we'll be educating you soon. Anyway, this year we plan on kicking it up a notch or two by expanding what the foundation does best-helping those in need, in their time of need. I'll refrain from using words like "new" and "improved" because theyre not applicable. We all feel that the GMBM foundation is perfect the way it is-we would just like it to be able to do more of what it already does.

Our first order of business starts with a contest. Weve witnessed the skills and talents of many of you and thought itd be great to solicit your ideas for the GMBF logo. We would like the final design to come from one of our members. This logo will be used on advertisements, websites, letterhead, T-shirts, hats, etc...The winner will be world reknowned! OK, I may be a bit over the top there. Anyway, Motoman will set this up similar to the photo contests. You come up with a design and submit it to him for consideration. The winning design will be chosen by the Mods and Admins. Ed McMahon will then show up on your doorstep with a 4x8 ft check. Actually there is NO money for the winning design but we'll get a nice little package of goodies for you.
Here are some of the rules:

-The name of the Foundation is---
The Garrett Michael Berg Memorial Foundation
"Remembering those who Rode"
*this, along with the the number *393*, must be incorporated in in the design

-Multiple submissions will be accepted, just dont give us the same design 10 different times, in 10 different colors!

-You must be willing to waive all rights and claims to the design in exchange for the knowledge that you have contributed to a great cause

-This must be an original design and not "borrowed" from any copyrighted or non copyrighted material. You will be held accountable for copyright infringement of any kind.

-The contest deadline is February 29, 2008

-Contest is open to all ATM memers, Mods and Admins. The prizes will be forfeited to the 2nd place finisher in the event that the winning design comes from a Mod or Admin.

Should be interesting for sure. But with the mods and admins being the only ones to vote? What if they could vote and be worth 50%, and the other members for the other 50% of the vote? That way it get's everyone involved none the less? Just an idea. I know I will try to get a design up, just have to get a new PS loaded up on the laptop

We thought about that and agreed that itd be nice to include the members in the voting process. The problem is that the logo will be incorporated on all documents pertaining to the GMBfoundation, legal and otherwise. Id hate to risk having a less than appropriate logo chosen by unanimous decision. If that should happen, it wouldnt be fair to go back and change the rules. I promise you we'll discuss this further over the next few days.

Havn't really been up for much creativity lately, as I have had a bad cold since Friday, and now I am wayyy behind on work. If I get a chance I'll get something posted.
