YZ450F DTX Update

Just got back from the Dyno and some riding. Just installed a CRF450 41mm carb on the YZF. WOW!! After leaning out the main to a 158, we made a few runs on the dyno...up to 58.2hp from 55.6...wow! 2.4 hp just from a carb swap(and cables and throttle).
Sent out a brand new set of stock cams to be reground last week...can't wait to get them back, as 60/61hp should be no problem. And along with the HP, the Torque is going up as well. Again, having the TPS disconnected not only kept the HP up, but kept the curve smooth as well.
Next weekend is the biggest Non National, Springfield Ohio 1/2 mile...DEEP cushion(wish we could use knobbies). Will make sure to let everyone know how it goes. Tryce

Springfield what?...I know that there is a track in Springfield Mass, near sixflags new england. Where is your springfield?

This weekend we will be at springfield Ohio. On Memorial Day we will be at Springfield Il...The Mile. We will be in New Hampshire in June, I believe...the closest we get to New England.

what is the reason the CRF carb works so good on the YZF? That is interesting to say the least. I obviously don't have a clue about carbs...

Woody, only reason being the CRF carb is a 41mm and the YZF a 39.

Too bad...I will be going to New Hampshir in may but not to ride, Im going for my friends fund-raiser. He has Cistic Fibrosos(CF)...Its serious sh!t.

I want to get into racing around New England...wheres the best place to start?

Ahh, I didn't know the size of the carb on the YZF.

could u tell me what the tp being disconnected does? would this work on the quad? i think i have an idea but would like to know for sure. also what do u have done to your bike to get that hp numbers thanks
