It was good enough for Garrett, but his last bike was an 03 YZ 450F...

Lets get serious here guys.......a 426 vs a current 450??? NO comparison, the 426 is heavy, slow, has manual decompression, heavy, steel frame.......did I mention heavy??

Manual decomp is easily cured on the 426. Heavy... sure, compared to newer 450's. Slow though? I'd bet there isn't much difference there.

I can tell a pretty significant difference in power, a guy had one out at the house this summer....in all honesty....it was a pig compared to the newer 450's.

Just felt really sluggish to me....it was a awesome bike in its day but that day has passed. That being said there is alot to be said for the fact they are still around and running!!
