TTR 125L wont start

(2007 TT-R 125L) It started a ran about two weeks ago. I put some new gas in it (mid-grade) and attempted to start with the electric start, it sputtered,etc..

Then started a loud knock toward the end of pushing the button, I think the battery is dying, so ordered a new one....

Put a new spark plug in and began to use the kick start, - again sputtered and farted....

It seemed to want to run a couple times... engine seemed to run for just a second then quit....

Any ideas?

Did you let old gas sit in the tank for those 2 weeks? Drain the gas and the carb, clean the carb and try again. Let us know.

will do. I've heard there is a bowl of sorts on the bottom of the carb, I've been told that might be it... I'll clean it all out and let you know what happens.

Clean or replace your sparkplug as well.

Have an 03 and 01. Drain gas, take your carb off and clean bowl, inspect to make sure jets are clean. The orfices in those jets are VERY small so it doesn't take much at all to clog them. New plug. I'm betting it's trash hung in the jets or bad fuel.

I cleaned the carb and the "bowl". Also, replaced the battery (for starting electric).

Electric and Kick both started the bike.
