The only throttle stop that I am aware of is on the WR250F only. It has something to do with selling the WR in California. You can perform three free mods on the WR to improve performance: -Take out the throttle stop – Cut the gray wire - advance the timing.

What people are doing is cutting the wr250f throttle stop to yz specs or they are replacing the wr throttle stop with the yz throttle stop. (Both produce the same result). This alllows the wr to be reved higher and access more of the bikes power. The yz250f doesn't need anything done to the throttle stop. It's already ready to rip.

I have a wr250f 02' and I was wondering if you could give me a little more info on the cutting the grey wire and advancing the time to get more power. I already have taken the throttle stop out and it makes a huge difference.

The FMF Q silencer is supposed to be a great quiet pipe.
