I will be getting back my new bike tommorrow and will be putting on the new White Brothers Carbon Pro pipe tommorrow night. I am just looking for tips on how to get started jetting it right. The bike has a 165 stock main jet, and it came with a 160 and a 170 spare jets. Should i go ahead and put the 170 in before i even crank the bike with the new pipe on it and start from there or what? I figured it will need to be richened up for sure is why i wondering about putting the bigger jet in right away. Thanks for any tips and any help!

Huff, If anything you may need 1 step larger on the main 168 but I would wait and see how it runs in stock trim first. One thing I would recommend Highly is buying the JD Jet kit and following his directions you won't be sorry.

huh? That's not true at all. 4 stroke is just as easy to jet, and in fact are less bothered by air temp changes and altitude then pingers. Anyway, moving right along... Have you broken the bike in yet? If not I would break it in before adding the pipe, just so you avoid jetting woah's during break in. Then yes, do as Ranger said. Didn't it come with any jetting recommendations?

Huff, It's hard to say what you need as far as jetting without some kind of symtom/ condition the bike shows. The 1 Size larger main is a generalization, it is recommended due to improved performance you add 1 size to the main. If I where in your shoes and I didn't want to fork out the bucks for the JD kit. I would throw the new Exhaust on and see where I was. Then as needed Fuel Screw: Starting, Pilot: Starting - 1/8 throttle, Clip Pos: 1/8 to 3/4 throttle, Main: 3/4 and up,
