Ahh that sucks! Sorry to hear that. You will love the 450 cam in it though, so I think in the end, you made the right choice.

yeah it sucks but at least this way i wont have to worry about killing it a mile into the woods and having to push it through the mud to get it back.

A buddy of mine had a xr250r for a year before he found out how to start it, now it starts like a dream. Piont is once you find the trick it is down hill from there.

I have a 2001 Yz426f and I start mine first , second kick everytime.. Heres what i was taught!!

1 quick flip on throttle,, choke in, then kick until you feel max compression, squeeze decomp lever , kick down to 9 o.clock , release decomp lever, then let kick start rise to about 10.o clock, and with a strong steady full stroke , KICK,, it works everytime. TRY it!

yeh I had the 01 YZ250F same drill as rickyboy, it's a hassle but it works.

just got the bike back the other day. damn that thing is fun, took it out a little bit to see what it could do yesterday. gotta work this weekend but its gonna be a fun summer. it starts first kick now that it has that 450 cam in it i had them clean out the carb too while they had it. runs like a dream now. thanks for all the help.

well i took it out last night. had a blast and i was plannig on taking it out again this morning so i left it chained up in the back of my truck for the night. woke up this morrning and the lock was cut and the bike is gone. i made a police report but i dont expect much to come of it. well sombody has a hell of a bike now.

Sorry to hear that. I too think ALL THIEVES should be hung! I have ZERO tolerance for thieves and lying scum bags. Sorry you lost your bike.

That freakin sucks. Do you have a pics, vin numbers and such so the rest of us can be on the lookout for your bike? Seems to be a lot of Texicans on this site, and your in Texas so chances are the bike is around there somewhere.
