Default My carb leaks fuel out of the overflow hose at the bottom of my carb

My carburetor leaks fuel when I turn the fuel on at a consistent leak out of the bottom hose of the carb. Can someone help me out and tell me how to fix this issue?

Have you taken your carb apart? Do you know how long it's been since it's been cleaned and possibly rebuilt? You just as well take the carb off (and apart) and remove the jets, soak it in carb cleaner, and blow all the jets out with compressed air. If it's been sitting a while, it might be "gummed up", or it may have particles of crud in there hindering the movement of the needle, etc. If you don't have previous carb experience, you will definitely need a service manual!

stuck float or float needle tip or seat 0-ring. Most likely one or more of those

I have a 2000 YZ426F well over a couple months ago I have the carb cleaned and rejetted at a place and he was saying also and he also showed me that it was leaking out of he carb. He said it leaks when the bike isn't straight up, when its on the kickstand leaning it leaks. So when I took I home and when ridin the next weekend it didn't leak. And prob rode it a dozen times since then without any problems. So now, 2 months or more of not riding it, I go start it up and the things leaking pretty good.

Leaking when it's not straight up sounds like BS. You should be able to lean it over to at least 45 and the float should still seal it with the needle if it is new/properly working. Andy would probably say "this 'place' you took it to, was it a taco stand?" Lol

How comfortable are you troubleshooting your bike? Feel like taking things apart? Cause your not going to fix it from the outside. if you think you have the aptitude to do it, well certainly help you get to the bottom of it. If not, take it back to the taco stand and see if there's a mechanic working there

Yea I have to aggres there about it only sealing when up right...
Youll need some basic tools-manual being the most important to help you, lots of patience and a bit of mechanical know how.

I feel the cause of this problem has been adequately pointed out so I won't bother. Let us know if your able to get the carb off the bike. BEFORE you tear into it let us know so we can help....

NB pictures are REALLY helpful on here....

I don't know what it is about taco stands and not being able to set the float after doing the hard part.

The taco vendor should have said "if the float is not set correctly, it will leak gas out of gb'd overflow, especially if you lean it over or ride it."

Sounds like a few issues here. First go get your money back from the dumazz who told you it will if its not straight up. Second You will most likely have to pull the carb again to unstick float/ replace needle or o ring. Before you pull it off though you might try tapping on the side of the carb with something heavy but soft like a wooden/soft plastic screwdriver handle. Don't go all slam happy but firmly tap on the side of the bowl. I have unstuck floats this way before and saved a lot of time and head ache. Keep posting to keep us updated about your problem . Hope this helps!!
