I have a 2003 ttr125 and I think it needs a little more power. I have already taken the snorkel off and the backfire screen. Are there any other free things i can do to get a little more power? Also what are some CHEAP mods that would get me more power? What would new jets do? Thanks, Mike

If it still has the stock muffler on it you can space out the spark arrestor with some washers to allow it to breath a little better. Check out the make specific forum on Thumpertalk. It has the most info on these little critters out there. Just not nearly as many great peeps!!

why bother? Honestly, your going to spend a ton on it to get a notable gains out of it. Sell it, and buy a 125 smoker.

I'm already running it without a spark arrestor. What is a good 125 2 stroke to buy? One of my friends is selling his 2001 KX 125 with fmf pipe and scilencer for $1300. Is that a good deal?

You can drill holes in the air box to get more air in. Since power is all about getting air in and out. Your running it without the spark arrestor gets air out but you dont have more air coming in. Plus you need some sort of back pressure. A performance header and spark arrestor would also give you more power. Also if you have the basic concept of a small eninge down you can pull the head off and port and polish the intake easy. If you are wanting a 2 stroke look on craigslist.com people are getting rid of them now since the new 4 strokes are better. In a few years honda, yamaha, kawasaki and suzuki wont make 2 strokes.

I'm with Freak, there is no point trying to mod a TTR125. Sell it, buy a 125 2 stroke. They are dirt cheap atm.. hehe, get it? dirt cheap! no? Forget it!:P
