I blew my bike up!!! HELP!

I was riding i went up to a face of a jump and my bike cuts off...and lights back up RIGHT before my back wheel left the ground and then stalled in the next corner....and i started it back up and started riding to the pits b/c i new sumthin was wrong and it was like lagging....i would be going and it would jump forward and then lagg back and then it started clicking and 5 seconds later it jus shut off....and you cant move the kickstarter...im hearing it might be Valve problem (dropping a valve?)..any ideas wut else it might be, how much itll cost to fix, how long it will take, or how hard it is to fix it yourself??? sounds like that clicking was a valve problem or the valve chain.

with that four stroke in the worst situation you could be in the hole 2 grand to fix it.

Sorry to say this but your gonna find that something major has seized or let go.

Probably would have been wise to kill it and push it back to pits when it first locked up on the jump face.

I can't give you specifics, the other thumper guys might be able to help out there.
I think the best way to find out is to get in there and check her out, or take it to your local mechanic..

Yep unfortunatly I would have to agree with the others, sounds valve related to me as well. As for cost, you are going to have to get it apart and find out what exactly happened.

If you can not kick it over, you have one of three problems and neither is cheap. Aus_Rider is correct when stating that you should not have restarted the bike.

1. Cam chain jumped on the cam.
2. You dropped a valve.
3. Your piston connecting rod (or bearing) broke.

In options 1 & 2 you will need to replace all of your valves and piston $1300+

In option 3 you will need to replace your piston and the whole crankshaft Assembly plus any damaged parts $800+

Since you are asking what happened and how long it will take, you should take it to the local dealer and tell them to check it out. If you have more than one dealer in the are, make sure you ask around and find the best deal. Prices will vary on a project like this
