Default Honest opinions-Yamaha TT 350 1986

Looking at a project bike, to fix and use for farm works. I've always liked the idea of a 350 and don't know why they stopped.
I want some honest opinions about parts availability, general strength of the bike, easy to work on, manual availability etc etc

Your input is greatly appreciated!!

Hey stevo! good choice for a farm bike. I have had one since 1987 and it still runs today. Number 1, They still make them and have since the mid 80s, the only thing is they only imported them into the U.S. for 2 years. that is why there are virtually no aftermarket parts for them. They are the number 1 seller in Australia and England. As far as parts go, most of the yz of that year will interchange with it. Parts such as suspension and brake levers handle bars and so on. the engine parts are available from the Yamaha dealers. and all the rest like tires and chains are all interchangeable. As far a durable bike, I have never had one last as good,. and I have have HondaXR500 Yamaha XT600 Yamaha WR400 ,Wr450, Kawasaki KX250 They are not a powerhouse like most of these, but they run out good and are a LOT better on the farm than any hi performance liquid cooled bike
