flasher Fork question??? Please help

Hi I am a happy owner of you guessed it a yz 426. I bought it new (2002) and since have invested quite a bit of money toward making it a offrod bike not a track bike. Well to cut it short I have a garage full of spare parts and some spare time so I am putting togather a track bike I need forks. My question is are the YZ 250 46MM forks the same as the 426. I am not talking spring rate so much as the actual forks. Sorry for the long post. TIA

They will work, but like you suspect the valving/spring rates etc. will be different.
