Default clutch slipping and smoke

i was at the track and the clutch started slipping when i looked down i saw smoke coming from the black tube i guess it the oil overflow it is my first 4 stroke , the bike is a 06 yz250f , my question is what happened . did i fry the motor please help

the oil tank broke idid not know there was a skid plate missing and i cracked the drain on the oil tank i got a new one

Is this the black tube on the valve cover? If you were low on oil and smoke was coming from there, I'd be a little nervous. It would be a good idea to at least remove the valve cover and look things over, and check out the clutch like Woody suggested in your other thread. A compression check might not hurt either.

yes that is the tube it does feel like it lost some compression and is getting hard to start but it still has all its power now i have oil and coolant leaking from the clutch side case gasket whats next ?

the bike fixed it was just a loose bolt on one of the oil lines and the coolant was just water mixed with oil just looked like coolant , theres nothing like riding the bike at 1030 at night and watching all the neighbors lights come on oops well the bike is fixed but you guys made my wife nervous but not me dirtbikes are worth more than money to me

The look on the neighbors faces at 10:30 at night is worth the money spent on the bike alone Glad you got it fixed. I'm headed to LCMX after work myself today.

bike had no problem thursday UNTIL the drain plug fell out of the oil tank BUT its fixed try again tuesday at bartow mx WISH ME LUCK
