 Backires and works like crap Hi.. I own a YZ400d, 98. I got at strange problem with my bike. I was driving on a endurotraining and suddenly the bike startet to act weird. It started to backfire when i released the gashandle, and on idle it whant to stop. It feels like the enginne needs to work harder. Can the ignition change or is it the valves that needs to be adjusted or is it maybe a really serious problem? PLEASE HELP!!! I am going to driva a competition in 3 weeks... //Peter  |

| Re: Backires and works like crap not familiar with that bike, but on a thumper decelleration backfiring usually means a lean condition. check for headder cracks, ;leaks in exhaust, leaks in the carb boots. the next thing is to thoroughly clean the carb. especially the sow circuts. |
