back wheel axel nut size?

Hi!

im stumped on what size socket i need to take that dang nut off. i tryed a 24mm and no luck! and i cant find any trace of this in my big fat manual for the 01 yz426f.

um help? heh

er also what lithium soap grease stuff should i use on my air filter?

i think its a 32mm.

i use gas on my air filter to clean it and then i wash it REALLY good with water.

Use the No Toil products on the air filter.

Ok, The manual says to clean with solivent. and oil, then put some lithium grease stuff on the end of the filter before you put it back on. should i just follow what they say to do?

just use a cresent wrench, then you dont have to worry of the socket slipping and rolling the corners of the nut.

yea, I had forgot that i had larger wrenches that my dad gave me. It ended up using a 1-1/16th inch wrench and socket. came off pretty with some help from Water Displacement 40. and bought a 1-1/16th socket for my torque wrench put an evenly 90 flbs or torque. (per the manual). So now my chains not floppin everywhere, heh

Its a metric 27 (equivs a 1 1/16"). I use a box wrench.

The litium soap grease (the regular brown grease in a white tube) should be used to seal the filter to the filter box.

A good solvent for cleaning your air filter is Paint Thinner. Don't use gas as it will deterorate your foam.

For greasing the rim of your filter, just use any cheap lithum grease. That helps make sure you have a good seal.
