| Yamaha has historically used Europe and Japan to do pre-production testing and race testing. There are also secret places here in the states where they conduct testing. I have it on good authority that the aluminum framed YZ-F will not make it to the showroom until the 2007 model year. Rumor has it there will be a whole frame and engine package. Can't wait!!! |

| Hey, that's not fair! When will they let the 4 stroke (426 - 450) run the same displacement as the 500 2 strokes?? |

| how did you find that? Covering the frame with blue is the same thing they did with the 125/250 prototypes while testing. Looking good!!! |

| I for one really hope they release something new next year....I really don't want to switch brands if I can help it, but next year I am going to need a new ride, and unless Yamaha releases something outstanding...well I will be wearing red at this point. |

I don't mean to be a downer on the aluminum frame, and I hope this is wrong information, but I have read a couple of sources now that have said the YZF's will likely not see aluminum frames until '07. Again, this could be wrong, and it seems odd from a marketing perspective. I do know if they address the high center of gravity (which is highly likely) AND move to fuel injection (which is in the works for all major manufacturers), I probably wouldn't care about the frame as much. But I would also love to see you ride red! |

| I am not sure why you guys keep saying you would go red...that baffles me. Not that they are bad bikes....we all know they are fantastic....but if you like Yamahas and know how to work on them why would you change colors? It's not like anyone on this board can fully utilize a YZ450F anyway. Not trying to start trouble but come on. 2 years ago the YZF was king and none of us could utilize it and now no one wants it? Do we have any Pro level or "A" level riders on this board? Sorry to rain on everyone's parade and shatter your dreams of being RC, MC, CR, JS...I know that is what we all do on the weekends...but let's ground ourselves for a minute. You guys are a marketing guru's dream .............. |

I have ridden both, and I like the feel of the CRF, it's a solid ride with the most comfortable ergos I have ever had the pleasure of experiancing. The power is plentiful but very tractable, and the suspension is adequate and up to the task. No I am not a "A" rider, (although very close to being one at one point in my life) and I cannot use every once of HP that my 450 produces, but I can use more of the HP that the Honda uses because it won't tire me out as fast as my current ride does. If you use the analogy of you can't use all the HP that the bike has stock, then why are you modifing your YZ250? To make the power the way you want it to be....and to me the CRF's power plant is what I want, why buy a Blue bike and try and make it into something that I could just go buy right off the shelf? As for working on them....come on dude, all of them are relitivly the same anyway, what's the difference if I clean the airfliter on a Honda or a Yamaha? |

| This is something I didn't even hit on....the feel of the crf in the air. The yamaha feels large and heavy when chucked off a 80' double, the crf feels more flickable, there is nothing you can do to the Yamaha to get that feel. Don't get me wrong guys, I have thought long and hard about this, and it wasn't an easy decision for me to make, I haven't owned anything but a Yamaha for over 14 years, but in my own mind I guess it's time for a change. Besides, what ever happened to the analogy of "pick a color and go ride"?? |

| Nothing personal...I'm just busting your chops. If you want red, yellow, green, orange then go for it and have as much fun as you can. You'll still be riding and that is all that really counts. |
