I didn't know it was hard on the stock clutch basket! I may take mine back off and sell it. Hmmm...

I didn't know either but a Hinson basket is pretty inexpensive especially if you buy from the guy I bought from.

I'll tell you up front for the price of a Hinson basket, pressure plate and inner hub you can be real close to a Recluse system. I bought my Hinson system a piece at a time before I needed it and the EBC plates from Thumper Talk's store back in 2003 and 2004 while I was between surgeries and then in recovery (you can spend a lot of money when you have absolutely all day to surf the 'net.)

If I remember correctly I paid 289 for the basket, 220 for the inner hub and 150 for the pressure plate. I'd have to look at the TT store to see what it was. It was a bit over 600 for everytning with the EBC plates.

I just bought a Hinson inner hub and basket for 415.00 shipped. I am going to buy the pressure plate when I get the money. The guy I bought from sells the plate for 145.00 but told me when I am ready he would make me a deal. I found a site to for 139.00 so if I remember where that was I can tell him that or go to Thumper Talk and get the 10% match guarantee and get it for about 125.00.

For the two years I had the Rekluse installed on my 426 I never notice any abnormal wear on the my stock clutch basket? I think if you keep the correct install gap on the plates it should be fine.

I'm still torn... I guess I will get used to it eventually but I miss being lazy and bump starting it after stopping on a hill. Now I have to kick it every time...lol
