Hey Daniel,

It's fully up to you mate, i personally run a yz250f and seriously it rips!!!!

I believe it also depends on what sort of riding you do and how serious you are about maintaining your bike. With a two stroke (correct me if I'm wrong) there is barely any maintenance. But with a four stroke the air filter needs to be cleaned after each ride, and the list goes on...

Four strokes are fairly reliable, however when they break they are not cheap to fix

The choice is fully yours, I'm just telling from my experiences, i would probably go for a yz125, if you have been riding a kx100, mainly cause they are easy to maintain and they still go quick!!!!

If you like to ride alot unfortunatley those bikes are both red sticker. So if your gona get a red sticker 4 stroke you might as well just get the 2. You will have way more fun deppending on what you do. If you ride trails go with the 4. If you like the track and climb hills go with the 2. But hey if you can get a YZ125 thats between 99-02 go with it. Green sticker always helps when you want to sell it.

The red or green sticker requirements are California requirements and do not apply to your country.

if i were you going from a kx 100 i would get a 200 or 250 smoker
250f's are higher mantiance and with a 125 you would get bored of the power pretty fast
