 2002 yamaha raptor starter issue i have a 2002 yamaha raptor and the starter works but turns over very irregularly and just turns till you hear it catch and then turns over but not normally. i know this is a problem with other raptors also and just wondering what was wrong with it and how to fix it. thanks               |

| This kind of problem happens to alot of electric starts. There are gears inside and they can wear depending on what they are made of. Same thing happend to my BW200, just gota pull the starter off and take it to yamaha. Or just buy a new one. If your bike is only electric start I would get that fixed soon. You don't want to get stranded. |
