1983 Yamaha 600 TT starter?

I have my old 83 TT 600 out of mothballs after 15 years. Rebuilt the carb over a year ago with out running gas through it until this late summer. New petcock fuel line and oil change. I kicked it over with new fuel and the damned thing started first time!( I've got a witness). Anyway, I believe there was an XT 600 model that was street legal and may have had an electric start? On one Yamaha parts supplier page they do show an electric starter under their 600 TT parts page.. Can another model 600 starter be incorporated onto the 600 TT? Can the starter I saw listed be mounted and if so are there special mounting plates involved? I know a battery would be necessary. Can the existing electrical system be tapped to charge the battery? I'm 53 and although she started the first time, it is becoming a pain to get it kicked over and running sometimes. Fabrication shouldn't be a problem if necessary. Electrical issues would not be an issue for me either. I am just hoping the starter can be installed on the TT. Thanks, Joe.
