Default 02 yz426 rear shock issue

Hey guys new around here and looking for some guidance.

I recently replaced my rear shock seal. I followed the clymer book and a couple YouTube videos instruction meticulously. I had to grind the peening off to remove the valve stack which went onto the shaft of a screwdriver so it didn't get mixed up. Put it all back together with new factory recommended oil weight and had the nitro charge put in by a king shock builder here in town 145psi IIRC...

After putting everything back together the bike now wants to buck me off and my clickers make NO noticeable adjustment in the feel. I pulled the shock back off and removed the spring and the faster you compress it the faster it rebounds regardless of compression/rebound settings?
I am curious if this has happened to anyone before and what the outcome was or if anyone has any ideas I can try before I break down and take it in to the shop.

I know at 6'-5" and 270lbs a stiffer spring would probably help but I don't know that's it's worth it at my style and skill level.
The bike was all stock as far as I know and rode great for the past five years I've owned it but now it's a death trap.
The weather is beautiful and I sure would like to get out and do some riding.

If it matters. I don't get to ride near as much as I would like. I would consider myself a beginner/novice that rides 90% mountain trails and 10% desert trails.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I had something similar happen and it was because I installed the piston on backwards.
