| Hello everybody!! I'm already checking out some hotels for my stay later this year in the US. Texas, Houston to be exactly. I was wondering if anyone of you had some good experiences with hotels in the past. Please let me know and post a link if possible. Any suggestions are welcome and please, leave the expensive ones out!! Thanks for your time, Raf |

Ashbury suites & Inn.................................281-441-1528 Best Vaule & Inn.......................................281-441-8888 Country Inn............................................... .281-359-4448 Econo lodge............................................. ...281-548-2900 Fairfield Inn............................................... ..281-540-3311 Hampton Inn............................................... 281-446-4800 Days Inn .................................................. ...281-446-4611 La Quinta............................In Kingwood, It's brand new & not in my old phone book...Sorry, I think there might also be a motel 6 somewhere around Humble or Kingwood. But I can't find that number eather. Here is the website for La Quinta in Kingwood: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] |

| Frakke...the Motal 6 is in a convenient spot, but frankly it is not that great of a hotel. It works perfect for having a place to park bikes and clean up after the races. But if this is more of a vacation place, you may want to check out the other places on the list. Plus, those other ones are closer to the track. |

| Good point Josh. For me, $32.00 a night to have someplace to clean up and sleep sure beats paying $85.00 - $110.00 a night for a weekend trip, but someone staying several days may want to go ahead and spend the extra money and pick a nicer place. I am usually on a limited budget, so I look for the more reasonable motels to check into. Raf, btw, there is a waffle house (breakfast place) across the street The hardest decision is do I stay close to the track where you drive 45-60 mins to go downtown Houston for sight seeing or do you stay in the Houston/Friendswood area and drive 45-60 mins to the track or do you split it 50/50. From the previous two GMB races, we usually bench race/socialize at the Berg's Friday late afternoon before the race. Go to Splendora on that Saturday for Family riding day. Saturday night in Kingwood to Howard Lobel's house and then Sunday back to Splendora for the races, so it probably would be easier for most folks to stay in the Kingwood area that are coming just for the race. |

| I won't mind riding about an hour for coming to the races. Maybe I can work something out for staying at motel 6 for the weekend and after the weekend going to another motel!! Would be nice!! Is the date set already?? |

| I believe that Zoo and I are going to stay up in Kinswood/Slendora area this time too Frakke. Pick a hotel and we will book wherever you do so that there will be a few familiar faces around you. |

| Ima, for the moment I think I'll stay the weekend of the race in Motel 6 in Webster. After the weekend I'm gonna book a motel in Houston, and the last week I'll book a motel a little bit further, still not decided. Thx for the offer!! |

| Raf, I have stayed at the Super 8 in Cleveland 2 times. Both times the rooms were clean. We just stayed there for the planning ride/meeting. It's ten minutes from the track so it makes any gathering at the Berg's house a bit of a haul but as far as Sunday morning before the race....it's the ticket!! Rooms are about $65.
