Thanks Motoman. The current plans are for VHS and DVD. Not sure if they will offer a download option.

Josh,
Man that was awesome! I am extremely appreciative of the dedication and perfection that went into filming this event. Your time commitment is incredible! Thanks so much for capturing the moment for so many! It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. You will always have "kin folk" in Friendswood, Texas. Thanks for being the kind of man that you are.

May the Almighty always Bless you and yours!

Mike, thank you. As I said it was truly my pleasure to be able to be there and document this great event.

Motoman/Rockey...the soundtrack is a somewhat frustrating issue. Because it is going to be sold (to benefit the Garret Memorial Fund), I cannot use copywritten music. That means no Linkin Park, etc. It is possible to request a synchronization license to use it, but that is difficult/timely and potentially costly.

Therefore I am actively searching for local bands that will allow me to use their music at no cost. I am confident I can find some good stuff, but it may not be music you recognize.

Zoo,
Are there any clauses for non for profit (charitable)organizations on the music rights?

Another option would be to contact them and ask permission and use the music anyway, I cant imagine they would turn us down and they for sure would not sue a non for profit organization, I would hope at least!

I know for profit businesses are unable to use licensed music unless they pay royalties, not sure about non for profit.

What if we dont sell the movie but distribute it for a small donation of $20!

I know I am just rambling, thinking out loud on the keyboard, I will shutup now!

Valverde, those are very good ideas. I thought about the non-profit angle, and it may be worth pursuing.

You are probably REALLY on to something with the $20 donation/s&h fee instead of a "selling" the video.

Big M or Motodad...any thoughts on this??
