Default Activity of events for GMB II Memorial Race

I just wanted to get some input on the list of planned activites for the weekend of Oct. 17-19th.

Friday afternoon/evening Oct. 17th, we will all meet at Mike Berg's house for the regular garage bench racing/fellowship & fun time that Mike always has.

Saturday morning (EARLY), on Oct. 18th, we will be heading to Splendora for Family day and track practice. Just to warn you all staying at Mike's, he likes to kick your butt out of bed around 6:30 am. You know how these ex-marines are about time.

Saturday evening - Dinner at Big Maico's- Deep fried turkey, Beer butt chicken & coffee cake

Sunday morning - RACE DAY - WOOHOO!

Please add or fill in the missing pieces. This will let us know what to plan for.

Guys and Gals,

I know this will probably backfire on me, but I suggest that with all the HARD work that Howard and his wife will be doing for Saturday night dinner, I suggest we have a kitty pot to help cover the cost of the meal. Feeding this many people is not cheap on the pocket and let me tell you, Howard is a top notch cook.

BTW Howard, please make sure your battery connections are good before we stop at the grocery store to pick up supplies. Keeto and I beg of you.

Sounds like a great idea. It is such a huge expense to feed so many people. Just let me know when to contribute and how.

My suggestion would be like what we do at our special church dinners, we have a donation basket and people can put in what ever they feel comfortable with.

LOL, good one Rick! Let's just say he was taught a lesson for giving me grief about my ford.

I think the idea about the money gift is awesome! He is indeed a great cook and it takes a LOT of time and money for this many people. Big M is a good cook because I taught him everything there is to know about grilling.

Default About Friday the 17th....

Hey All,
I am taking Friday and Monday off. This way I will be able to assist those whom arrive early in Houston. I could quite possibly use some assistance in putting up the Texas Yamaha Tent at the track. I would like to have it up by noonish.

Those whom may be here to help send an email to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and we can make arrangements. I have a feeling this is going to be a real NEAT time!!!!

Thumbs up Hey Yard Pro .....

I like this statement and got a big grin when I read it - because I remember a time when It was appropriate for me, BUT shooooosh don't say anything my kids don't know!

There are many times I reflect and am thankful that I survived many a portions of my 'youth' - I wish I would have known then that your body pays for the dubatchery of your youth when you get older.

I am looking forward to meeting you YardPro!!!! BTW watch for certain "Vintage Riders" at the race, some of them
