Machoman393 is going to buy Garrett's 2001 YZ426F. I am grateful to have found a special person to buy this special bike! I wanted someone whom would appreciate the "legacy" of the bike and appreciate all the hours of love my son put into this bike - I am proud to say that man is Mark Golleher.

I have decided to try and put the bike back real close to how Garrett would have wanted it, from a graphics stand point. Mechanically the bike is in perfect condition.

Below the front number plate.

NCY Graphics for Machoman393

More NCY Graphics with the flash on......

Special decals I had made by Decal Works - If you like them feel free to contact Decal Works

Default You guys...

have shown me what humanity is all about, what friendship is...please excuse me if I come across wrongly, its not my intention, I feel emtional at the moment. I'm unable to get my thoughts right when I think about Garrett and his family, tears instantly start and then it all goes to pot.

I cant begin to grasp the tragedy of it all, it goes beyond anything else I've ever fealt, and thats from a stranger, so Mr. Berg and your family, I feel so deeply, wouldn't dare to say I could feel anything like you do. I've wanted to reach out and say something, but I know thats wrong, I wish I could take your pain away. You have a fantastic son...I want to say "have" because there's more to life than the physical, can you see how he goes on now, effecting people like me, changing us...making us "better"? Thats one damn huge thing to be proud of, YOU DID IT RIGHT, more right than you know. I would be proud to have you as my dad. Your bond, that closeness oh how it pains me to think of it, and how stupid my words will sound to you. You will see him again though...life, you look back, its just a blink of an eye. One day, sir, one day. And I hope I get to say hi too, it would be my honour ) I tell ya, there's going to be one huge queue waiting to say hi!!

What can I say that thousands haven't already?

I'm big enough to say that Garrett is my hero. Even in his passing it takes no effort to share his passion and just feel what a person he was. Is that rare? Yes!! Its not because he was young, or that he shared my love for bikes...it was his personality, who he was that gets my respect. Since learning of Garrett, this might sound over the top, but he lives in my thoughts all of the time, I try and measure myself against him. He's making me a far better person than I was, what a gift, thank you Garrett buddy!!

I should shut up now, I could go on forever.

Here's to you MotoMan393! ) Ride forever buddy.

Al

Al,

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Madman, thanks for posting those pictures. It makes me cry just to look at the pictures and I know its even going to be worst when all I have to do is turn around and look at it on the way back home.

Congrats to Machoman for being the true man he is.

Default "I miss my son"

Thats exactly what i heard today from my mate Serge. He has not been at work since his 20 year old youngest son died last week in a bike accident, only it was a superbike, he was hit by a car and died later in hospital. It has shocked everyone at work and Serge and his family will never be the same. Serge was known as the nutty, funny guy, always happy. Man, it's really messed him up and i dont think he will be coming back to work for a while. Just thought i'd tell you guys because its similar to what happened to Garrett's Dad.

Deano,

Let Serge know that he and his family will be in our prayers for the lost of his son.

It will take time to heal the hurting, but knowing his son is in a better place with no pain. He's probably up there swamping riding stores with both Garrett and Tabby, a young 10 year old girl that was killed in a dirtbike accident a couple of weeks ago.

Hello Frakke,
Yes those decals you mentioned are available from Ron Joynt and Decal Works. Tell him what you want and he should provide them. Ron can call me if he want, but I would be honored if you choose to ride with those decals, or have other made to honor your friends who now Roost in the Heavens with my Son.

I hope to meet you one day, perhaps this year. If you need a bit of assistance to get here to the US for the Memorial Race this year, let me know.

Sincerely,
Motodad393

Angry What!

A 10 year old!
How do these things happen? It pisses me off! I have a little sister who is 10 and my dad is thinking of buying her a little 2 stroke when i get my CRF, and she's as clumbsy as hell, so i think she will be better off with a little quad or something. I know its a dangerous sport but dang me that really does take the cake.

I never knew Garret. But from what everyone has said he is a real good guy. When I found out that Garret had died in a motorcycle wreck it made me think just how dangerous this sport is. He has made me believe that no matter what, it might be dangerous but it is fun and it is what i wanna do. So Here is to you Motoman393- your in my heart forever. Motodad393 if it is any consolation or felling of good. AS of now I am running your sons name and number on the back of my helmet on a piece of tape. and i will ride with him in my heart every race. Thank You.
