Hey ATM, I stopped by Texas Yamaha today for nostalgic reasons. It felt good to just hang out. Well Texas Yamaha is the sole sponsor for the Houston Supercross this year - quite a costly and big thing for a local dealership to undertake. They will have a V.I.P. Tent located in the "Pit Area" amongst the Pro's and such. Well today I was blown away by the folks at Texas Yamaha - They asked if I would bring Garrett's 2003 YZ450F and allow them to display it in their Tent! I was stunned and very humbly accepted! This is a neat honor for me to take my son's bike and have it amongst the "big guys" at Supercross Houston 2004! I know Garrett will be "looking down" and thinking ..... well he will be thinking something. I am sure he will know that I really miss him. This is a real cool thing for me! Man my son's bike at Supercross! Just mabey he may show up huh? I miss my Son........... I am proud of what he stood for too!

Wow, Mike! That is truly awesome. Please make sure to have someone get some pictures while his bike is there. Sponsoring an event as large as that is quite an undertaking indeed! If they have a site, tell them to drop me a line about getting some advertising up here for them. Might be able to steer some business their way!! T

According to Mike Fuhre, The Texas Yamaha tent was next door or very close to Stewart's/Team Kawaski tent/rig.

Worked out great. Mike had a smile as big as Texas and made everyone feel welcome. I had to wait in line to meet him and Howard

Dang....I was at the Houston Supercross but it was so cold I didn't go to the pits. Had my wife with me. Shoot it was just as cold in the Stadium only without the wind. I would have loved to go see Garrett's bike and would have if I would have known it was there. I did get this pic ...just of Chad Reed though. Last edited by Dalem; 02-18-2004 at 11:43 AM.
