inconsistent landings on jump

I've been jumping this little jump near the house and sometimes my feet are coming off the pegs which is a little hairy and dangerous feeling when I'm landing. Sometimes my jumps are smooth and soft landing with feet comfortably solid on the pegs. I feel like I'm hitting the jump at the same speed each time.

I can't get it consistent: what am I not paying attention to?

Try squeezing the bike with your knees.

do you notice anything that "feels" out of the ordinary when your foot comes off, does the bike kick or anything. How is the jump is it even all the way across, no kickers or anything like that.
