Default back end of bike goes sideways in the air...help

a lot of the times when i jump the back end of the bike goes out to the side when i am jumping. i would think it was just a rut making it go out but, every time it goes out to the right and never to the left. could anybody explain whats going on. it is not the first bike it is happening on. the only thing i can guess is that maybe i am leaning slightly to the left making the back end go to the right. by the way i am riding a 05 crf450r if that helps.

Other than trying to counter it by leaning or throwing the bike to the opposite I would recommend concentrating on gripping with your legs more so the bike doesn't bounce around under you as much.

Check you rebound on the shock. It may be too fast. Slow it down two clicks and see if it helps. If it gets worse, go the other direction and see how she feels. Use you legs to hold the bike though.

i will try adjusting the rebound but, it always goes the the right. i dont squeeze enough with my legs so i will implement that and i will try throwing the bike in the other direction. by throwing the bike in the other direction do you mean if the back goes out to the right lean the bike to the left?

all of the above, check rebound is slow enough and grip with the legs, just wondering if when you move your body to balance the bike or if your tapping the back brake to bring the front down[witch generally you shouldn't require] are you only wieghting the left peg, especialy if your turning the front wheel over the crest.
