| im looking at getting an xr500 and it has a slight leak on the shift shaft seal. does anyone know where i could find one? its an 83, but would a seal from an 84 0r 85 work. or even one from a 600? |

| I have never had any issues getting a metric seal except for steering stems and sometimes water pump shafts or crank seals. I usually source seals locally from a bearing supplier. I doubt you will have any problems finding one once you know the ID, OD and thickness. Scott |

| alright, ill go to the atv shop down the road and ask about one then. |
