Is setting the sag on an 03 crf difficult? I am pretty new to working on my bike, and I dont want to bite off more than I can chew. Do I have to remove my airbox to get to where I can adjust the spring, and if so, is that difficult to do? Thanks

That's the correct way to get a spanner wrench on the shock lock rings. The old fashion way is to use a long semifat flat blade screwdriver and hammer to unscrew/screw the lock rings for adjustment.

I've adjusted mine a bunch of times and never taken anything off. Just get a long screw driver and you can get to it. Then once the top nut is loose, you can use your hands to turn the spring. One full turn is good for about 3mm, and I've found that my CRF likes 95mm the best.

Ok. Just for clarification. There are two nuts at the top of my spring, and I need to losen the top or bottom? And then, which way to I turn my spring? Right now, my sag is about 105mm and I wanted to get it to 95, like you suggest.

Loosen the top one, and to get to 95 from 105 you will need to turn the spring clockwise roughly 3 full turns.
